After updating to the latest version the sitemap gives a 404. Tried all suggested blogs and comments on your website, we still get a 404. Even tried to rollback the version, but it does not seem to work.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the 404 error on your sitemap. It can be frustrating when things don’t work as expected. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    1. Flush Permalinks: Go to your WordPress admin area, navigate to Settings → Permalinks, and click the Save Changes button without making any changes. This often resolves 404 errors related to sitemaps.
      Flush permalink settings

    2. Check for Caching Issues: Sometimes, caching plugins can interfere with the sitemap functionality. Ensure that your cache is cleared and that sitemaps are excluded from caching.

    3. Check for Conflicts: Disable other plugins temporarily to see if there’s a conflict causing the issue. You can also use the Health Check plugin to help identify conflicts.

    4. Review Your Robots.txt File: Ensure that your robots.txt file is not blocking access to your sitemap.

    5. Check Server Configuration: If you are using Apache or Nginx, ensure that your server configuration allows for the proper functioning of sitemaps.

If you have tried all these steps and are still encountering the 404 error, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it!

Now the sitemap page is working, but all the links are missing. There is only 1 and that shows a 404 again.
