Error Log If you have WP_DEBUG_LOG

#1096570
  • Hi support Team,

I have activated RANKMATH and since then I keep getting this error log and glitch on my home page: Please see the Error Log on the sensitive data box. I have 2 options: either to delete and go with another seo plugin or you can help me fix this glitch as I cannot stand it. For now this is my question hope this can be fixed, thanks!

If you have WP_DEBUG_LOG enabled, errors will be stored in a log file. Here you can find the last 100 lines in reversed order so that you or the Rank Math support team can view it easily. The file cannot be edited here.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Rank Math plugin and the error log on your homepage. To assist you better, we recommend checking the specific error messages in your WP_DEBUG_LOG. This can provide insights into what might be causing the glitch.

If you haven’t already, please consider creating an Analytics debug log file as discussed in our documentation. This can help our support experts examine the issues more closely. You can create this log by adding the following filter to your WordPress theme’s rank-math.php file:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/analytics/log_response', '__return_true' );

After adding the filter, navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Tools → Scheduled Actions → Pending and run the pending Scheduled Action named rank_math/analytics/data_fetch. Once you have done this, please reply to this ticket and share the Analytics debug log file with us for further assistance.

If you are still experiencing issues after this, we recommend considering our professional setup service, which ensures that your plugin setup is fully correct and adheres to the latest SEO standards. You can find more information about this service at Rank Math Services.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we look forward to helping you resolve it!

    Hello,

    Thank you for the instructions.

I have carried out the steps you requested:
    1. I have created the rank-math.php file in my child theme’s directory and added the filter add_filter( ‘rank_math/analytics/log_response’, ‘__return_true’ ); as instructed.
    2. However, when I navigated to Tools > Scheduled Actions > Pending, the action named rank_math/analytics/data_fetch was not present. I also checked the “Failed”, “Complete”, and “Cancelled” tabs, and the action was not listed anywhere.

This suggests the scheduled task is not being created properly. Additionally, my website’s error log shows that Rank Math is trying to access database tables that do not exist, such as wp_rank_math_analytics_gsc.

I ran the command wp rankmath analytics clear_data –force to try and reset the data, but received the error ‘analytics’ is not a registered subcommand of ‘rankmath’.
The core issue is that the glitch on my homepage disappears as soon as I deactivate the Rank Math plugin. This confirms the plugin is the source of the conflict.

Please advise on the next steps. Should I proceed with a complete reinstall of the plugin?

    Thank you,

    Anila @ motrati.com

    New chat

    Hello,

From the error log, it is pointing to your Cloudflare plugin, so we recommend getting in touch with their support for that.

Regarding the Analytics object table in the log, it should be created once you connect your website to your Google Search Console account in Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. However, I believe the diagnosis is incorrect.

The Cloudflare plugin errors are “PHP Deprecated” notices. These are minor warnings and do not cause critical site health errors or front-end glitches. The critical error and glitch are 100% caused by Rank Math, as they disappear immediately when I deactivate your plugin.
The database tables (like wp_rank_math_analytics_gsc) are required to be created by Rank Math upon installation, not after connecting to Google Search Console. The fact that these tables are missing indicates a failure in Rank Math’s installation or setup process. This is the true source of the errors.
The scheduled action rank_math/analytics/data_fetch is also missing from my Scheduled Actions panel, which is further evidence of a problem with Rank Math’s internal scheduling.

Please escalate this issue to a senior support agent who can address the actual problem: Rank Math’s failure to create its necessary database tables during installation.

    Thank you,
    Anila @ motrati

I have performed the test you suggested and deactivated the Cloudflare plugin. The critical Site Health error and the visual glitch on my homepage persisted exactly as before. This confirms that the Cloudflare plugin is not the cause of the problem. The issue is entirely within the Rank Math plugin, as I have demonstrated multiple times by showing that the problems disappear immediately when Rank Math is deactivated. The evidence is clear:

The glitch is caused by Rank Math.
The database tables for Rank Math Analytics are missing.
The scheduled action rank_math/analytics/data_fetch does not exist.
Please stop deflecting to other plugins and provide a solution for the actual problem: your plugin’s failure to create its necessary database tables during installation.

I expect a solution that addresses Rank Math’s broken installation process.

    Hello,

Please head over to your WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > System Status and click the “Copy System Info to Clipboard” button, and paste it here so we can further analyze the issue.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Sorry for the delay in response. We would like to troubleshoot this issue now but the FTP login you shared is not working. Can you please verify that?

In the meantime, please try setting-up the Analytics plugin again. Try reconnecting your Google account. Remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Then, head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and reconnect the Google service and this time, ensure that all permissions are checked:

    gsc
    gsc

Looking forward to helping you with this one.
