Can’t update footnotes

1. Check if Rank Math REST Route is Blocked: Sometimes, security plugins or firewalls can restrict the REST route used by Rank Math. You can check this by visiting the following URL in your browser (replace example.com with your domain):
   `https://example.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
   If you see a response indicating that access is denied, it may be due to your site’s firewall blocking Rank Math. You can find solutions to unblock Rank Math from your firewall here.

   

2. Firewall Settings: If you are using a firewall like Wordfence, ensure that Rank Math’s files are whitelisted. You can refer to our tutorial on how to whitelist Rank Math in Wordfence.

3. JavaScript Errors: Check for any JavaScript errors in your browser’s console that might be preventing Rank Math from saving the metadata. You can open the console and look for errors that could provide more insight into the issue.
