Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemaps not updating. It sounds like you’ve already taken several steps to troubleshoot the problem, which is great. Here are a few additional suggestions that might help:
-
Flush Permalinks: Sometimes, simply flushing the permalinks can resolve sitemap issues. You can do this by going to Settings → Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and clicking Save Changes without making any modifications.

-
Check for Plugin Conflicts: Even if you’ve disabled your cache plugin, there might be other plugins that could be conflicting with Rank Math. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any potential conflicts.
-
Review Your Sitemap Settings: Ensure that you have not accidentally blocked any post types or taxonomies from appearing in your sitemap. You can check this under Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings.
-
Server Caching: If you are using server-level caching (like Varnish or Nginx caching), make sure to clear that cache as well, as it might be serving an outdated version of your sitemap.
-
Check .htaccess or Nginx Configurations: If you are using Apache or Nginx, ensure that the rewrite rules for Rank Math sitemaps are correctly set up in your server configuration files. You can refer to our guide on fixing sitemap issues for more details on this.
If you have tried all these steps and the issue persists, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can assist you further. A human agent from our support team will take over and provide more specific guidance.
Thank you for raising this concern!
Hello,
In this case, head over to your website files /uploads/rankmath/, and delete any XML files from that path.
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
