  • Hello,

    We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap not displaying the products. This can happen due to several reasons, such as custom canonicals or plugin conflicts. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Custom Canonicals: If you have set custom canonical URLs for your products, they may not appear in the sitemap. Ensure that you remove any custom canonicals so that Rank Math can generate the correct ones.

    2. Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can conflict with Rank Math. You can check for conflicts using the Health Check plugin.

    3. Flush Permalinks: Go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Settings > Permalinks, and click Save Changes without making any changes. This can help resolve 404 errors and refresh your sitemap.

    4. Sitemap Settings: Ensure that your product post type is enabled in the Rank Math sitemap settings. You can check this by going to Rank Math > Sitemap Settings and ensuring that the products are set to be included in the sitemap.

    If these steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend replying to this ticket with any additional details or errors you might be encountering, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

    Thank you for raising this concern!

    I am still having issues after doing the above suggestions

    I get page not found when clicking this
    https://www.scaffoldingsuppliesforsale.co.uk/product-sitemap.xml
    Which I sourced from the sitemap setting page?

    Hello,

    Please ensure that your product sitemap is enabled in Rank Math > Sitemap Settings.

    Also, the default robots for your product should be set to index in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Products Robots Meta.

    If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

    It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

    You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

    I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    We added this snippet to your site’s functions.php file, and the sitemap now works correctly in troubleshooting mode, meaning one of your plugins might be causing a conflict:

    /**
     * Filter if XML sitemap transient cache is enabled.
     *
     * @param boolean $unsigned Enable cache or not, defaults to true
     */
    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.

    We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Ok so I put the site into troubleshooting mode, disabled all the plugins and then re-activated them one by one until the sitemap issue occurred – the conflicting plugin is “YayMail Woocommerce Email Customiser” which is what we use to customise the emails that get sent from the site (woocommerce emails etc)
    How can we resolve this as we need to keep this plugin, this has not been an issue before?

    Hello,

    Since that plugin is causing issues with the functionalities of our plugin, you should contact their support and inform them about this. They will be in a better position to fix it and might already have a solution.

    Also, check that you are using the latest version of that plugin, as another user who had similar issues got it fixed by updating the plugin.

    Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

    Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

    If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
