Analytics error

#1089596
  • Hello – when I navigate to the analytics module, I frequently see this:
There was an issue scheduling the recurring action required for Analytics; if the problem persists, please contact our support team.

I used the help and it told me to look at the Cron job for this. My instance seems to be missing this job. Why wouldn’t it get installed?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Analytics module. It seems like the scheduled actions for Rank Math Analytics are not running properly due to a potential issue with WP-Cron.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check WP-Cron Settings: Ensure that in your wp-config.php file, the line define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', false); is set correctly. This setting should allow WP-Cron to function properly.

      define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', false);
    2. Install WP Crontrol Plugin: To identify any other CRON issues, you can install and activate the WP Crontrol plugin. After activation, navigate to Tools → Cron Events in your WordPress dashboard to check the status of your Cron jobs.

Install and Activate WP Crontrol plugin

    3. Check for Errors: Look for any errors that might be preventing WP-Cron from running successfully. If you see any errors above the Cron Events, click on the "More Information" link for details.

      Cron Error

    4. Run Scheduled Actions Manually: You can also check the status of scheduled actions under WordPress Dashboard → Tools → Scheduled Actions → Pending. If you find any pending actions related to Rank Math Analytics, you can run them manually to fetch the data.

Run Rank Math Analytics data fetch manually.

If after following these steps the issue persists, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

Thank you for this note and informational article. I have WP Cron installed. The problem is the job as indicated in the picture for the Analytics module doesn’t exist.

    What can I do?

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Please reconfigure the Analytics module. Remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Then, head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and reconnect the Google service and this time, ensure that all permissions are checked:

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Thank you. I reconnected my Google Analytics account the the Analytics job continues to not be present. I have provided a temp login link.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We checked your website, and we can see the Cron Jobs are working properly and the data is showing on your Analytics Dashboard:

We also removed that notice from your website.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

So the fact that the Analytics job doesn’t show in my Cron list is not a problem and it is working correctly?

    Thanks for the help.
