HTML Sitemap shortcode is not working (shows a blank page)

    Hello,

    My HTML sitemap page is not working. It is showing a blank page instead of the sitemap. The shortcode [rank_math_html_sitemap] does not render.

    I have already done extensive troubleshooting:
    – I have confirmed that the HTML Sitemap module is enabled in the Rank Math settings.
    – I have cleared all caches (plugin cache and browser cache).
    – I used the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to disable all other plugins, but the page was still blank.
    – While in Troubleshooting Mode, I also switched to a default WordPress theme, but the page was still blank.
    – Finally, I completely deleted and reinstalled the Rank Math plugin.

    The problem still persists even after all these steps. This is not a plugin or theme conflict. Can you please help me figure out what the issue is?

    Can you please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you?

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    I had the same issue and just resolved it by flushing and recreating the sitemap. It’s not something I regularly checked, so it would give me more confidence if I understood more about why it happened. Having to check it periodically is not the ideal remedy to me. Especially since the site is active with pages and posts added frequently.

    If flushing and recreating the sitemap fixes the issue it means some form of cache is at play.

    In that case ensure you exclude Rank Math’s files from caching by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
