    Hello Rank Math Support Team,

    I’m having an issue with a custom schema template I created. I’ve set up a DefinedTerm schema template for my “Glossary” custom post type, but it doesn’t seem to be applying correctly.

    Here’s a summary of the situation:

    1. I have successfully created a DefinedTerm schema template using the Schema Builder. It is configured to pull the name from the post title ({title}) and the description from the excerpt ({excerpt}).

    2. When I create or edit a new “Glossary Item,” the Rank Math sidebar correctly shows that the DefinedTerm schema template is in use for that post type.

    3. Despite the setup above, when I view the list of all my glossary posts in the WordPress admin area, the “Schema” column for every single post says “None.”

    I have tried clearing my website’s cache, but the issue persists. Could you please help me understand why the schema is not being applied and what steps I can take to resolve this?

    Hello,

    Thank you so much for getting in touch.

    You are using the incorrect variable format as Rank Math doesn’t accept that type of “shortcode” (curly brackets).

    Instead of {{title}} or {{excerpt}}, use %title% and %excerpt% instead.

    As for the “None” label you see in the post list page, that part will only show the schema if that schema is individually added to the post. Since you’re using schema templates, it will not show as added schema in the post list, but it should still be added in the schema structure when you visit the page.     I had refreshed and purged all the cache.

    and please check few are showing definedterm schema few are not.

    Please check the schema on the live pages to confirm that the variables work. You can test them with either https://search.google.com/test/rich-results or https://validator.schema.org/
