    Rank Math free

I see this tag in my page header despite I set it to ‘Index’ on Robots Meta under Global Meta settings
    X-Robots-Tag: noindex

If I deactivate RankMath then this tag dissappears. It comes back after enabling it.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the X-Robots-Tag showing as noindex despite setting it to ‘Index’ in the Rank Math settings. This can sometimes happen due to conflicting settings or other plugins that may be affecting the output.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Other Plugins: Ensure that no other SEO or caching plugins are conflicting with Rank Math. Sometimes, other plugins can add their own X-Robots tags.

    2. Review .htaccess or Server Configuration: If you have access to your server configuration files (like .htaccess for Apache), check if there are any directives that might be adding the noindex tag.

    3. Inspect Theme Functions: Sometimes, themes can also add their own headers. Check your theme’s functions.php file for any code that might be adding the X-Robots-Tag.

    4. Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins, clear the cache after making changes to ensure that the latest settings are applied.

    5. Check Rank Math Settings: Double-check the Rank Math settings under Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta to ensure that the global settings are correctly configured and that there are no overrides at the post/page level.

If you continue to experience this issue after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it!
