Hi, I have problem with separator on my post title, I have set the default to (title | site name) but it’s not working to be my default setting, and i have to do it manually each post one by one. I attached the image shown my setting in single post title on rank math and the image about the default snippet generated by rank math on post which didn’t include the separator automatically. Can you help me?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the separator in your post titles. It sounds like the default separator setting is not being applied as expected. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Global Settings: Ensure that you have set the separator correctly in the Rank Math settings. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta and confirming that your separator is set to (title | site name).
Global Meta - separator character configuration

    2. Post-Specific Settings: Sometimes, individual post settings can override global settings. Make sure that in the specific post editor, you haven’t manually set a different title format that excludes the separator.

    3. Theme Compatibility: If your theme does not support the title-tag, it may cause issues with how titles are rendered. You can check if your theme supports this feature and enable the Rewrite Titles option in Rank Math if necessary.

    4. Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins, clear the cache to ensure that the changes take effect.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with your site URL and any additional details or images you have regarding your settings. A human agent from our support team will be able to assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!
