Is there a helpdesk that I can call??
Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with bot attacks on your site. It’s important to manage both good and bad bot traffic effectively to protect your website’s performance and security. Here are some strategies you can implement to mitigate these attacks:
-
Install Security Plugins: Consider using WordPress security plugins such as Sucuri Security or Wordfence. These can help block malicious IP addresses and implement Web Application Firewalls (WAFs).
-
Use Detection Tools: Implement CAPTCHAs, honeypots, or bot detection services to differentiate between human users and bots. This can help reduce spam and unwanted traffic.

-
Implement Bot Mitigation Solutions: Services like Cloudflare can filter and block unwanted bot traffic, providing real-time insights and protection against threats like DDoS attacks.

-
Update Security Measures Regularly: Ensure that your security plugins are updated regularly, use strong and unique passwords, and utilize SSL/TLS certificates.
-
Educate Your Team: Stay informed about the latest bot threats and educate your team on how to recognize and respond to potential attacks.
If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope these suggestions help you manage the bot traffic effectively!

Bot Traffic: How It Affects Your Website and What to Do About It » Rank Math
Hello,
The problem is that every 4 seconds, a different bot crawls my website and uses up all the bandwidth. I have a lot of images, for example. But normally I only have little traffic from true visitors, which does not cause problems.
I have Wordfence (the free version) and CAPTCHAs for forms, but that’s not the problem. It is purely an overload of different bot visitors visiting every product on the whole website.
So, how do I block them?
I don’t have the proper knowledge or skills to write an instruction or command, and I’m unsure where to place it.
I read the advised link:

I noticed some bot activity in the stats on the Plesk, and wanted to add the bot names in the settings-> edit robot text, but I get stuck there.
It says: Contents are locked because a robots.txt file is present in the root folder.
How to proceed?
Hello,
Unfortunately, our scope of support does not extend to chats, phone calls, or remote applications like AnyDesk or Zoom apps.
If you want to edit your robots.txt through Rank Math, then you may need to delete the physical robots.txt file in your website’s root directory.

You can get assistance with your web host if you’re unsure how to access your website’s file manager.
Looking forward to helping you.
