Pages Not Indexing in Google Despite Rank Math Setup

    Rank Math free

I’ve been using Rank Math SEO on my WordPress site for a few weeks now, but I’ve noticed that some of my pages are still not getting indexed by Google, even though they are set to “index” in the plugin settings. I’ve already submitted my sitemap to Google Search Console and tried manual re-indexing, but it hasn’t made a difference. I’m not sure if the issue lies within my Rank Math configuration, the sitemap setup, or if there’s a possible conflict with my theme or other plugins. If anyone has experienced a similar problem with my website or can suggest what to check, I’d truly appreciate the guidance.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your pages not indexing in Google despite your Rank Math setup. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check if Your URL is Indexed: First, ensure that the specific URLs you are concerned about are not indexed at all. You can do this by searching for the exact URL in Google. If it appears in the search results, it is indexed.

    2. Noindex Attribute: Make sure that none of your pages have the "noindex" attribute set. You can check this in the Rank Math settings for each page or post.

    3. WordPress Global Settings: Verify your global settings in WordPress to ensure that there are no settings preventing indexing.

    4. Robots.txt File: Check your robots.txt file to ensure it allows Google to crawl your site. You can find this file in the root directory of your website.

    5. Crawled but Not Indexed: If your pages are being crawled but not indexed, it could be due to low-quality content or duplicate content issues. Ensure that your content is original and valuable to users.

    6. Manual Indexing Request: Since you’ve already tried manual re-indexing, you might want to submit a manual indexing request again if you haven’t done so recently.

    7. Check for Conflicts: Sometimes, conflicts with themes or other plugins can cause issues. Try disabling other plugins temporarily to see if that resolves the problem.

    8. Sitemap Submission: Ensure that your sitemap is correctly submitted in Google Search Console and that it reflects all the pages you want indexed. Rank Math automatically generates a sitemap for you, which should be accessible at `https://rankmath.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/BingIndexingAPI.png.
