I have detected in several online stores that attributes are not indexed when you mark them as a category.
I’m using Rank math and this didn’t happen before, it’s been happening for a while, I don’t know how long.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with attribute indexing in your online stores using Rank Math. It sounds like you might be encountering problems with how the attributes are being indexed as categories.

To manage indexing for product attributes in WooCommerce, you can set noindex tags for these pages to prevent search engines from indexing them. This is particularly useful if you want to avoid duplicate content issues. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta.
    2. Locate the Product Attributes section.
    3. You can enable the No Index option for the attribute archives to prevent them from being indexed by search engines.

If you prefer to set the noindex tag for individual attributes, enable the Add SEO Controls option in the attribute editor. This will allow you to set the attribute to noindex from the Advanced tab.

    Hello,

Please share the affected URL so we can check and advise accordingly.

You can also check if the page is getting noindex due to this option in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Hello,

We checked the source code of several of the URLs you shared in the sensitive data section, and they were already set to index.

Hi Ike, what are you talking about?

    Who said I have “noindex”?

I have everything set up correctly. All I’m saying is that WooCommerce attributes haven’t been indexed for a while now.

I hope you understood, as I use a translator because I’m Spanish.

    Hello,

    Sorry about that.

These pages are attribute archives and often have limited content (we even see some attribute pages with only one item), which can lead Google to treat them as soft 404s or not valuable enough to index. This is normal and usually not a concern as long as your actual product pages are indexed. However, we would still like to help you with this issue.

To confirm what’s happening, please submit the affected URLs to Google Search Console’s URL Inspection Tool. It will show why they haven’t been indexed and whether Google sees any issues.

Let us know what you find, we’re here to help further if needed.

This is what I get, it’s all very strange

    Hello,

The “Crawled – currently not indexed” status means Google has crawled your page but has not indexed it yet. Finding a certain number of URLs with this status is entirely normal because Google does not index all the URLs we submit.

This isn’t an error, but there are some reasons for excluding the pages from its index.

    Looking forward to helping you.
