Hi Team, I’m trying to set up a redirect from the English URL version of a Spanish page to the correct Spanish URL (or other language versions) using the Rank Math redirection option in WordPress, but it’s not working. Could you please suggest any alternative solutions or let me know if anyone has faced a similar issue and how they resolved it? For example:
    Redirect 301 /es/private-school/ to /es/escuela-privada/.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with setting up multilingual URL redirection using Rank Math. To create a proper redirect from the English version of a Spanish page to the correct Spanish URL, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Redirections.
    3. In the Source URL field, enter the URL you want to redirect from (e.g., /es/private-school/).
    4. In the Destination URL field, enter the URL you want to redirect to (e.g., /es/escuela-privada/).
    5. Select 301 Moved Permanently as the redirection type.
    6. Click on the Add Redirection button to save your changes.

    Create new redirection

If you have already done this and it’s still not working, please check for any conflicting plugins or caching issues that might be affecting the redirection. You can also use the Redirection Debugger in Rank Math to diagnose any issues further.

For more detailed guidance, you can refer to our tutorial on setting up redirections.

If you continue to experience difficulties, please reply to this ticket with your site URL, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks, and hit the “Save Changes” button (without making any changes) to clear the permalink cache.

Once done, please clear your website cache and see if that works for you.

If the issue persists, please check if you have an attachment page with the same slug. In such a case, you can change the attachment page slug or you can disable the Redirect Attachments option from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Links:

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ike,

    Looking forward to helping you.
