    Hi,

I have an issue. I have deleted the %sitename% from every of my website pages’ titles, however when searching results via Google, it still shows up. I have tried everything, but it looks like nothing seems to work.

Please see the attached picture for reference.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the %sitename% appearing in your page titles in Google search results. It’s important to note that even if you’ve removed it from your titles, Google may still display it based on its own algorithms and indexing processes.

Here are a few steps you can take to address this:

    1. Check Your Title Tags: Ensure that the %sitename% is indeed removed from all title tags in your Rank Math settings. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and reviewing the settings for each post type.

    2. Request Google to Reindex Your Pages: After making changes, you can request Google to reindex your pages. You can do this through the Google Search Console. Enter your homepage URL and click on REQUEST INDEXING.
      Click Request Indexing

    3. Submit URL for Instant Indexing: If you have configured Google’s Instant Indexing, you can submit your homepage URL through Rank Math SEO → Instant Indexing.
Send to API in Instant Indexing

    4. Wait for Changes to Reflect: It may take some time for Google to reflect these changes in search results, so patience is key.

If the issue persists after following these steps, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope this helps!

    The issue still persists.

    Hello,

You can verify the title and description meta tags if they are already set:

    https://rankmath.com/tools/meta-tag-analyzer/

If the title/description is already set in the page’s source code, please note that Google and other search engines sometimes ignore the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

    Looking forward to helping you.
