Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the disappearing meta title, description, and canonical values on your WooCommerce product categories. It sounds like there may be a conflict or a caching issue that is causing the default values to appear temporarily before the Rank Math values load.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
-
Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can interfere with Rank Math. Try deactivating other plugins one by one to see if the issue persists.
-
Theme Compatibility: Ensure that your theme is compatible with Rank Math. You might want to switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) temporarily to see if the problem continues.
-
JavaScript Errors: Check your browser’s console for any JavaScript errors that might be affecting how Rank Math loads its settings.
-
Server Caching: If you have server-side caching enabled (like Varnish or NGINX caching), make sure to clear that cache as well.
-
Increase PHP Memory Limit: Sometimes, low memory limits can cause issues with plugins. You can increase your PHP memory limit in your wp-config.php
file by adding:
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
-
Re-save Permalinks: Go to Settings → Permalinks and simply click Save Changes without making any changes. This can sometimes resolve issues related to URL structures.
-
Check Rank Math Settings: Ensure that the SEO controls for product categories are enabled in Rank Math settings under Rank Math → Titles & Meta → Product Categories.
If after trying these steps the issue still persists, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or error messages you may have encountered, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention!

Hello,
Please note that the sitemap will not include the URL if you have set up a custom canonical URL under the Advanced settings:
https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/#custom-canonical-url
You should remove the canonical there, and Rank Math already adds a self-referencing canonical URL on all your indexed pages.
If you want to share images of the issue (before and after), you can upload screenshots using this tool and add the link here.
Looking forward to helping you.
