Installation Issue – Failed to Connect to FTP Server

    We’ve been using the Rank Math plugin to optimize our blog’s SEO performance and have been very happy with the results—thank you!

    Recently, after migrating from our old WordPress setup to a new WordPress backend, we tried to reinstall the Rank Math plugin. However, during installation, the system asked for:

    Hostname

    FTP Username

    FTP Password

    Our IT team confirmed that the FTP credentials should be the same as before, and we are using this account to log in: m*****@e*************.

    However, we received this error:
    “Failed to connect to FTP Server ”

    We are unsure whether this issue is caused by:

    An incorrect hostname

    Or incorrect FTP credentials

    Could you please advise how we can confirm what’s wrong, and where we can find the correct FTP details for the plugin installation?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    Please note that Rank Math does not have access to your FTP credentials, as they are managed by your web hosting provider.

    WordPress asks for FTP credentials when it doesn’t have direct file system access, often due to server permission settings.

    In this case, we recommend getting in touch with them to resolve this issue.
