Editor crashes on latest Rank Math – no analytics data in older version either

    Hi Rank Math Team,

    I’m experiencing serious issues with Rank Math on my website onlinenyerogepek.hu.

    When I use the latest version of the plugin, the WordPress editor crashes completely (white screen or critical error), and I cannot edit or create posts/pages.

    If I downgrade to version 1.0.234.1, the editor works fine again, but no data is shown in the analytics/dashboard – everything remains blank despite proper Google Search Console and Analytics connection.

    My setup:
    WordPress version: 6.8.1

    PHP version: [add your PHP version here – pl. 8.0 vagy 8.1]

    Theme: [GeneratePress…]

    Page builder: [e.g. Elementor, Gutenberg, Classic Editor]

    Working Rank Math version: 1.0.234.1

    Latest version causes crash: yes

    I have already tried:

    Deactivating all other plugins

    Switching to a default WordPress theme

    Clearing cache and reinstalling the plugin

    Still, the latest version causes editor failure, and the older one doesn’t show any data.

    Can you please look into this or suggest a solution?

    You must have received an email from WordPress with the details about the error. Please share it with us here so we can check.

    If you haven’t received the email with the error code, you can follow this guide to enable debugging in WordPress
    https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ or you can get in touch with your web host, and they will help you locate the log file.

    Having an error log will help us determine what is causing the critical error.

    This seems to originate from the get_plugin_info() method in the Version_Control module, despite beta opt-in being disabled.

    It appears to create or update a transient on every page load in the admin, which causes unnecessary database load and may contribute to admin slowdowns.

    Can you please investigate this behavior and advise if this is expected? If not, could you provide a fix or workaround?

    I would appreciate if you could check this directly on my site, and help ensure optimal performance.

    We’ve checked your site, and there is an outdated version (v3.0.78) of the Rank Math PRO plugin installed, however, the account you have used to open this ticket is the Rank Math free version.

    Can you please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com or the email address you used to purchase so we can locate your account and verify it?
