WooCommerce module enabled, I’m encountering 404 errors on some product pages.

    Current Settings:

    Remove Base: Unchecked

    Remove Category Base: Checked

    Remove Parent Slug: Checked

    Remove Tag Generator: Checked

Problem: Some product URLs are missing the /product/ prefix, leading to 404 errors. For example:

    Correct URL: /product/tribal-print-shirt-for-men/

    404 Error URL: /tribal-print-shirt-for-men/

As a temporary fix, I’ve had to manually set up redirects to include /product/ in the affected URLs. Is there a way to resolve this issue without relying on redirects?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the 404 errors on your product pages. It seems that the settings you have configured might be causing the URLs to not include the /product/ prefix as expected.

To resolve this issue without relying on redirects, we recommend checking the following:

    1. Remove Base Setting: Since you have the "Remove Base" option unchecked, ensure that it remains that way. This setting should typically be left unchecked to maintain the /product/ prefix in your URLs.

    2. Permalink Structure: Make sure your permalink structure is set correctly. You can check this by navigating to Settings → Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard. Ensure that the structure includes the /product/ base for WooCommerce products.

    3. WooCommerce Settings: Double-check your WooCommerce settings under Rank Math SEO → General Settings → WooCommerce to ensure everything is configured correctly.

    4. Flush Permalinks: Sometimes, simply flushing the permalinks can resolve such issues. You can do this by going to Settings → Permalinks and clicking the "Save Changes" button without making any changes. This action refreshes the permalink settings.

If after checking these settings you still encounter issues, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can assist you further. A human agent from our support team will take over and provide more specific guidance based on your site configuration.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention!
